It has come to our attention that this Plantation has closed. We will investigate on our next visit.
Having the distinction of being one of the wettest places on earth, Kauai is home to wonderful tropical fruits which flourish in the warm days, cool nights and abundant rainfall that the island receives. One of these delightful fruits is Hawaiian guava. Although the guava is often thought to be a citrus fruit, it is actually a berry with more than three times the vitamin C content as an orange. Found off of route 56 near the Kilauea Lighthouse and the town of Kilauea, you can tour the Hawaiian Guava Kai Plantation and sample fresh Guava juice as well as other products made from the Guava. The Guava Kai Plantation is open daily from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. The company will also ship to the mainland so you can take a taste of Hawaii home with you. Trust us that there is nothing better than the taste of really fresh guava juice.
