Head north on Highway 30 in West Maui to see the Nakalele Blowhole. About halfway between the 38 and 39 mile marker is a turn out where you can park. Take the trail leading out onto the point to see both the spectacular ocean view as well as the Blowhole carved into the lava rock lining the ocean at this point. The blowhole varies from hour to hour as the ocean changes. Sometimes it may spurt up at least 50 feet into the air while other times, it barely sputters. If you go here and don’t see a spectacular display of mother nature pushing her way skyward, come back a few hours later and things may be totally different. Be sure to take a peek out over the ocean from this vantage point as the view is gorgeous.
